About Mark Lawson
Background
I started my career as a service engineer straight out of college, working for a regional Atlas Copco distributor in Nottingham. Over the next decade and a half I worked on everything from small workshop rotary screw compressors to large multi-stage centrifugal installations in food manufacturing plants.
In 2019 I made the switch to writing full-time. I now contribute to a handful of industrial trade publications and run this blog for the longer, more opinionated pieces that don't fit a standard editorial brief.
My focus is practical: what actually happens on site, what engineers get wrong, and what the marketing material doesn't tell you. I'm not affiliated with any manufacturer and I don't take sponsored content.
I'm based in Nottingham. You can reach me at [email protected].
